Our advanced analysis laboratory is located in Melbourne, Australia. All samples need to be delivered back to this location for analysis. If you’re overseas, this means they will be flown out from a local distribution centre near you and we will handle the local postage once it arrives in Australia.
How long does it take?
The amount of time this can take depends on several factors. We rely on local post systems to ensure your sample is delivered, and there can occasionally be delays – especially around high-volume periods like holidays or the Christmas period.
The expected wait times for different regions are as followed:
Region |
Postage Time |
Australia |
3 – 7 business days |
New Zealand |
1 – 2 weeks |
United States of America |
1 – 2 weeks |
United Kingdom |
2 – 4 weeks |
Canada |
2 – 4 weeks |
Indonesia |
2 – 4 weeks |
Note: During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been experiencing delays as postage systems worldwide experience high volumes, backlog and interstate/international restrictions. We appreciate your patience and apologise for any inconveniences.
Orders are packed and dispatched within 24 – 48 hours of your order being placed, Monday to Friday.
Once your sample reaches our lab, you’ll receive a notification via email. It will take up to a further 10 – 14 days after the arrival of your sample for our clinical team to finalise your analysis and deliver your results and personalised report.
If it has been longer than the times mentioned above and you are yet to receive any update, please submit a ticket to our customer support team. We may be able to assist in tracking down your sample or potentially provide a new test kit if it is deemed that your parcel is lost. Please see our terms and conditions for more information on shipping, returns, and replacements.
Does the sample have a tracking number?
Unfortunately, the reply-paid envelope you use to mail your swab back to our laboratory does not provide tracking updates. If you’re overseas, your parcel may be tracked as it is sent back to our distribution centre. When we send your kit to you in the mail, the initial parcel is tracked to ensure your kit gets to you safely, but this means that we cannot provide any further updates between you mailing your swab and our laboratory receiving it.
Even if your sample hasn’t reached our advanced analysis laboratory yet, in the meantime, if you are a myDNA subscription member you can still enjoy all the content in the myDNA Unlocked app, including personalised feed content, access to a database of thousands of recipes and exercises, shopping lists, and progress tracking.
