If you’ve decided you’d rather try out a different type of meal plan or would rather have a different recipe in your DNA-powered meal plan, we offer a few different ways to change and customise your personalised meal plan.
This article contains two sections:
Changing or filtering out an individual meal in your plan
Firstly, if you only want to change a single recipe in your meal plan but continue with the same overall plan, you can swap out a recipe by using the “CHANGE” button on the right of that meal. By tapping this button, the meal will be swapped out for a new one selected from our database of thousands. Fear not, this new meal will also be perfectly suited to your DNA, with the right number of calories and balance of macronutrients.
If you have dietary preferences such as vegetarianism, gluten free, or dairy free, you can select a dietary preference from the “My Goals” tab from the “Me” section of the app. Simply navigate to Me > My Goals > Dietary Preferences, then select your diet type and hit “OK”. This will filter all the future meals you receive to fit this preference. If you’ve already generated your meal plan, you will need to regenerate it to see this preference be reflected in your plan. To regenerate your meal plan, see changing or regenerating your entire meal plan below.
Unfortunately, we currently do not have the capacity to filter meals from your plan due to allergies or distaste for certain ingredients. We recommend checking any meal from your plan for ingredients before cooking. However, you’re always welcome to switch out meals form your plan using the CHANGE button.
Changing or regenerating your entire meal plan
We offer 4 classes of meal plan in the myDNA Unlocked app. The categories are “Clean & Lean”, “Protein Balance”, “Lite & Trim” and “Mediterranean”. Depending on your DNA test results, one of these 4 plans will be recommended for you based on your genetic makeup. However, you can decide which kind of plan you’d most like to follow and receive tailored, DNA-powered meals in that category.
If you would simply like to regenerate your plan and start your DNA journey from scratch, you can regenerate your meal plan. Simply navigate in the myDNA Unlocked App to Plans > Meals and scroll up to the top of the page. Your meal plan type should be listed with a dropdown menu that explains the macronutrient breakdown of your current plan. Tap this dropdown to open it, and then select “CHANGE PLAN” at the bottom of the tab. You will be presented with a prompt asking if you want to change or reset your plan. To reset your plan and regenerate it with new meals, tap the “RESET FROM TODAY” option. This will provide you with an entirely new set of meals within the same plan type.
If instead you would like to change your plan type and try out a different meal plan, again navigate to the Plans > Meals section of the app and tap on the meal plan dropdown at the top of the page. Select “CHANGE PLAN” and then confirm you want to change plan in the prompt that appears. You will then be able to choose between a new Clean & Lean, Protein Balance, Lite & Trim or Mediterranean plan type. By tapping each plan, you can see the daily calories and macronutrient breakdown. To choose a plan, tap the plan type you’d like and then tap “SELECT PLAN”.
If you’d prefer, you can always select a meal of your choice from the Meals section of the Explore tab within the myDNA Unlocked app. Search results can be filtered by dietary type as well as category (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner). If you enjoy a particular meal from your plan or the explore portal, try adding it to your favourites by tapping the heart icon!
