The first step is to purchase a myDNA test kit online or via one of our pharmacy partners! However, once you receive and complete your swab, the process is a bit different depending on which product you purchased.

If you purchased a myDNA Medications (Single or Multiple Categories) Test Kit
If you signed up for a monthly membership online and had a Personalised Wellness DNA Collection Kit mailed to you
All your insights, results, plans and more are available for you to access in the myDNA Unlocked app, whether you’re at home or on the go.
- We’ll be in touch via email once your insights and personalised plans are ready for you to view.
- If you haven’t yet, download the myDNA Unlocked app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Log in using the account details you created when registering for your membership online.
- If you cannot remember your login details, click “Forgot password?” and follow the prompts, or refer to this guide.
- Once you’re logged in, head over to the “Insights” tab to view your results and personalised DNA insights. Use the slider at the top of the screen to choose which insight category (nutrition, fitness, etc.) you wish to view.
- If our lab has not finished analysing your sample yet, you will be presented with a message onscreen verifying this. You will receive a notification via email once your insights are ready.
- In the meantime, you can still enjoy the other features of the myDNA Unlocked app including exploring thousands of recipes and exercises, home feed content and progress tracking.
- Tap on any insight to expand the information and interpretation for this insight. Under the “According to the evidence” and “How you can work with this” sections, you will receive specific information regarding the research and scientific evidence relating to your unique genetic variations.
- At the bottom of the insights page, there are additional tabs which can tell you more about your insights, your gene results and SNP data, and how your insights were created.
- To view your personalised plans (meal plan, workouts, etc.) tap the “Plans” icon in the lower navigation menu.
- More info about your results and how to work with them may be available as articles in the home feed.
If you purchased a physical myDNA Personalised Wellness Kit or Practitioner Edition Kit in a pharmacy
All your insights, results, plans and more are available for you to access in the myDNA Unlocked app, whether you’re at home or on the go.
- If you’ve purchased a Practitioner Edition Kit with Personalised Medications insights, you’ll receive an email alerting you your results are with your nominated pharmacist. You must first book a consultation with your pharmacist to release your results.
- If you haven’t yet, download the myDNA Unlocked app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- If you haven’t registered for an account and activated your swab yet, head to https://subscribe.mydna.life/ and follow the instructions to create an account. Be sure to select “I have a kit” when prompted. This must be done before you mail your swab back to us.
- Log in using the account details you created when registering for your membership online.

If you purchased a myDNA Medications (Single or Multiple Categories) Test Kit
For all Medications Kit purchases, the first step following the email to let you know your results are ready is to book a consultation with the healthcare professional you nominated during your kit activation. Please contact your healthcare professional before booking an appointment to ensure that they have received and can access the report.
As per guidelines set by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), we are unable to deliver results directly to patients without having them interpreted first by a healthcare professional. This is to ensure that all results are interpreted correctly. Further, it is important that your doctor is aware of your results particularly if you are currently on medications which may be affected by them. Your health professionals are best placed to make any final recommendations about your medication and can ensure that any prescription adjustments suggested by the myDNA medication report are considered together with your medical history.
Once your doctor or healthcare professional has received and helped interpret your results, they will be able to confirm and release the results to your online portal. You will then be able to access your results for each medication online on your phone, laptop, or PC.
If you have had an appointment and your healthcare professional has not released your results, please submit a ticket with our customer support team.
When your results have been released, you can access them on your explore portal:
- Visit https://explore.mydna.life/ on your phone, laptop, or PC.
- Enter the username and password you created when activating your kit.
- Note: your username is not the same as your email address. If you cannot remember your username, please click “I forgot my login details”.
- If you cannot remember your password, please reset your login details by clicking “I forgot my login details” and following the prompts or refer to this guide.
- Once you’ve logged in to your secure online portal, click on the insights menu in the top navigation bar and select the “medications” dropdown item.
- Your medications results will be listed here. You can add medications you currently take in the “Your Medications” tab, or view all covered medications by category in the “Categories tab”. Your gene results and full report will be available to download in the “Results” and “Reports” tabs.
If you purchased a myDNA Nutrition + Fitness, Vitamins, Skin Anti-aging or other non-subscription kit
For all non-subscription kits including our legacy Nutrition + Fitness, Vitamins, and Skin Anti-Aging kits, you will still be able to access your results on the secure online explore portal on your phone, laptop, or PC.
- Visit https://explore.mydna.life/ on your phone, laptop, or PC.
- Enter the username and password you created when activating your kit.
- Note: your username is not the same as your email address. If you cannot remember your username, please click “I forgot my login details”.
- If you cannot remember your password, please reset your login details by clicking “I forgot my login details” and following the prompts or refer to this guide.
- Once you’ve logged in to your secure online portal, click on the insights menu in the top navigation bar and select the insight you wish to view. Insights will be sorted into 3 categories: core focus, pay attention, and typical.
- Click on “Learn more” next to any insight to receive more info on your results and how to work with it.
- Underneath the insights, you may have access to more information such as diet breakdowns, vitamin food guides, or personalised plans (depending on which product you originally purchased).
- At the bottom of the page, you will also have access to more information about how your report was created, your specific gene and SNP results, and a link to download your personalised scientific report.
Turning your insights into action is a big part of what myDNA strives to do. Genetic information is just genetic information unless you find ways to apply it to your current lifestyle. We try to present the information in a digestible way that translates quickly into action regarding your life and goals.
